We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who took part in our 12 Days of Christmas Charity Auction which raised a huge £1,491 for The Fishermen’s Mission.
In the 12 days leading up to Christmas, industry suppliers kindly donated a different auction prize each day from tickets to the National Fish & Chip Awards and cases of fish to boxes of frying fat and bags of batter. There were also design services including social media posts, flyers and banners, as well as places on our KFE training school and tickets to our KFE Annual Ball in May.
The prizes attracted a flood of bids and friendly banter as prizes were snatched away by last-minute counter-bids on several occasions.
Paul Williams, managing director, comments: “Our 12 Days of Christmas Charity Auction was a lot of fun and shops managed to grab themselves some absolute bargains to kick start the New Year.
“I would like to thank Henry Colbeck, Friars Pride Ltd, National Federation of Fish Friers – NFFF, BDSigns and BDigital, Tower Leasing Ltd, QBTEC, Middleton Food Products, Direct Approach Design & Kerry Foods who all donated prizes and enabled us to raise such an amazing amount, which is already on its way to The Fishermen’s Mission.”
