A team from KFE joined golfers from around the world to take part in The Duke of Edinburgh Cup World Finals in Windsor this week.
The final follows qualifying rounds held around the world, one of which was our Annual Ball and Golf Tournament at The Belfry in May. It was won by Mike Hulme of The Golden Fry in Benllech who was joined at the World Finals in Windsor by KFE Managing Director Paul Williams and Area Sales Manager for the South East Nik Williams.
The trio played across two golf courses during the four-day event which culminated in an award ceremony and dinner in the presence of Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex.
It is the first year we have hosted a qualifier for The Duke of Edinburgh Cup World Finals and, in doing so, we raised over £16,000 for Golf Foundation, just one of the charities that The Duke of Edinburgh Cup supports.
Golf Foundation works with schools, faith groups and local communities to make golf more accessible to children from all backgrounds. It also helps to improve their mental and physical well-being by introducing them to the life skills the sport imparts.
Paul Williams comments: “We are honoured to be a sponsor of The Duke of Edinburgh Cup World Finals. Our KFE Annual Ball and Golf Tournament provided the perfect qualifying event and created a fantastic opportunity for us to combine our love of golf with the chance to raise thousands of pounds to help children overcome hardship and adversity to lead better lives.
“We had a great time playing across two top courses and look forward to being a sponsor and being involved again next year.”
The Duke of Edinburgh Cup was founded by the late HRH Prince Philip.
